Quilted in Honor is a partnership between quilters, the quilting industry, and the highly regarded charity, Operation Homefront. Its strives to raise money and donate quilts to wounded warriors and military families who suffer hardships because of their service to our country. Operation Homefront donates over 3,000 quilts annually to wounded veterans. These donated quilts include gift cards and help service men and women bridge the gap between coming home and receiving much needed services.
Over 50 quilts that have been made in support of the Quilted In Honor project are traveling throughout the United States to help spread the word of the initiative and inspire quilters everywhere to participate! The exhibit features quilts from celebrity designers including Alex Anderson, Eleanor Burns, Carol Doak, Pat Sloan, Ricky Tims, Angela Walters, and many more.
The exhibit is making many stops on its tour. Be the first in the world to see it in Des Moines this October!
